Your Safe Space for Clarity, Comfort, and Growth
Thomas B. McCray Jr., CBCP - Certified Cognitive Behavioral Coach Practitioner

Confidential Coaching Rooted in CBT
Your Path to Healing and Growth
At Private Path Wellness, I believe healing is deeply personal, and everyone’s journey is unique. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBC) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, reframe them into healthier perspectives, and take practical steps toward lasting change. Founded by Thomas B. McCray Jr., Certified CBT Coach Practitioner, Private Path Wellness was created as a safe, confidential alternative for those who may feel vulnerable in traditional therapeutic settings.
Our coaching is not psychotherapy or medical treatment — it’s supportive, non-clinical guidance designed to help you manage stress, build resilience, and move forward with clarity. I emphasize privacy and autonomy, offering options such as pseudonyms, screen-off telehealth sessions, and freedom from insurance paperwork or forced reporting.
While our primary focus is on CBT-informed coaching for growth, I also provide Pet Loss & Bereavement Coaching for those navigating the unique grief of losing a companion animal. Whatever the challenge, our mission is to create a safe space for personal growth, clarity, and empowerment.

“I believe everyone deserves a private space where they can feel safe, be heard, and find clarity. My role as a coach is to walk beside you, helping you reshape unhelpful patterns, manage stress, and discover the strength that’s already within you.” — Thomas B. McCray Jr.

At Private Path Wellness, I use Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBC) to guide clients in recognizing and reshaping the thought patterns that influence their emotions and daily life. Many of us carry unhelpful beliefs that lead to stress, anxiety, or feelings of being stuck. Through coaching, I help you slow down and notice these patterns, then gently challenge them to create space for healthier perspectives. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies such as guided reflection, journaling, mindfulness, and structured goal-setting that allow you to turn insight into action. The focus is on building resilience, improving clarity, and fostering confidence as you work toward meaningful change. This isn’t psychotherapy or medical treatment, t’s a supportive process that empowers you to manage challenges, honor your experiences, and create sustainable growth in your everyday life.

Losing a pet can feel like losing a member of the family, and that grief deserves understanding and compassion. At Private Path Wellness, my Pet Loss and Bereavement Coaching provides a safe, confidential space where you can honor the unique bond you shared with your companion and express the full weight of your emotions without judgment. Together, we explore healing practices such as guided reflection, journaling, mindfulness, and personalized rituals that celebrate your pet’s memory and support your healing journey. This process isn’t psychotherapy, but supportive coaching designed to help you navigate grief at your own pace, regain balance, and find comfort in remembrance. The goal is not to “move on” from your loss, but to carry your pet’s memory forward with resilience, peace, and love.

For many professionals in high-visibility or high-responsibility roles (executives, police officers, judges, or community leaders), seeking traditional therapy can feel complicated, if not impossible. Concerns about privacy, stigma, or professional perception often prevent people from getting the support they need. At Private Path Wellness, I provide a safe, confidential space designed for those who carry significant public or organizational responsibilities. Here, you can address stress, decision fatigue, emotional strain, and the weight of leadership without fear of exposure. Together, we focus on strategies such as guided reflection, thought reframing, mindfulness practices, and resilience-building routines that strengthen both clarity and composure. This process is supportive, evidence-informed coaching that respects the unique pressures of your role. Mobile coaching is available.
